Central States Alfalfa Corp. controls the hay products “Field to Farm” by growing and managing the hay products before it is cut and baled, which gives us the ability to stand behind the finished product! We understand the importance of knowing all the conditions of the alfalfa before it is baled.
We inspect the hay product before cutting and baling. We work directly with the harvest operators and growers for the timing of baling, to the intervals of each cutting.
We then take the final step of moving the hay product from the field to our storage facilities where it is tested for moisture, nutrients, and QUALITY. Each field is ID and properly inventoried for “source location”. We know each cutting, quality, and test with the procedures we have developed.
